Go Fanboy - Everyone Has a Favorite

I think those PS3 does everything commercials are kind of funny too. But what's funnier is the fact that anyone thinks the PS3 will end up passing the Xbox 360 in the US. It's too late. The next xbox will be out before the PS3 makes any headway in the states.

Is that because the Xbox isn't durable enough to handle a 10 year cycle? I've sent my xbox to M$ to be repaired numerous times. My PS3 is a work horse and it never broke.

It has to be a work horse to play Blu rays and go on plystation home. What else is there to do on it? Play all those big exclusive? Oh wait, there really aren't any good exclusives on the LameStation 3.

Wow, someone has a favorite. But since "Everyone has a favorite", that makes sense. Coincidentally I lean towards the 360 as well, just not quite so ... uhm ... hateful towards other consoles. Back on topic: the PS3 has a shot at the 360 here in North America. Especially if the marketing keeps leaning towards the Bluray aspect. You might make fun of the movie aspect in the PS3, but it could very well assist with winning North America. It's already crushed the 360 in Japan. I'm sure all 360 fanboys hope that it holds it's ground here in the US.

I will buy a PS3 slim if my 360 takes too long to get back. Well maybe I'd just pick up a a 360 Arcade. I'm too scared to buy a xbox on craigslist. Just don't see ps3 taking america.

PS3 doesn't nickel and dime you at every turn, like the 360. I think that's why the PS3 is picking up steam right now since we're coming out of a recession. Here is what makes the PS3 more economical:

1. $299 - priced right
2. Free online - save $50/yr
3. No need to buy separate blu-ray player - it's built in
4. Built in wifi - no need to buy $100 wireless adapter

If you want to compare the 360 Elite and PS3, you can now do so apples to apples since they both have the same HDD size and are priced the same.

I like you, Gamus. You will single-handedly save this economy by forking all of your money over to M$.

I couldn't see MS bringing out another version of the Xbox.

Share holders can't stand Steve Ballmer.

There's been quite a bit of Share holder complaining and wanting answers on what MS is going to do, about it's shrinking windows market, it's shrinking office market, and now MS is talking about getting into the mobile market as it'll be the next best/big thing.

Like I've said before, it's going to be a close finish.... for PS3 and Xbox 360. But in all honesty the Wii already won this generation and Nintendo will likely be first or tied for first out of the gate with the next generation of hardware.

As for no Xbox next generation, the Xbox brand just became profitable in late 07/early 08 after being a money hole since 2001. That much investment in the brand means another Xbox is all but certain.
