Personally i think that Batman AA is one of the most important ones, akin to what the Batman Begins movie was, it has shown that if you start from scratch and build something with quality, even a franchise with shit track record can become the next big hit. It will push publishers to pay more attention to their licensed based games. Shit, maybe now the next James Bond won't be crap.

And Modern Warfare 2, which i believe has turned Modern Warfare Call of Duty games into the GTA of this generation.

Batman Arkham Asylum? I think that was a good game, but to even possibly call it a "most influential game of tihs year" is crazy man. Forza 3 doesn't get any credit? I dare say Drake's Fortune 2?

FM3 hasn't changed the landscape of racing games. Sure it's good, but Batman AA set a bar high for superhero games. Racing games have been great since Gran Turismo and so on. Shooters have been great since Halo and so on.

Super hero games had Spiderman earlier in this decade just before the movie series hit theaters, but got worse over years. Batman AA was (is) great.

Everyone has an opinion. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but what about Uncharted 2? I know Playstation and Naughty Dog have always kind of relied on timed button sequence games that use pretty graphics to cover a lack of gameplay, but Uncharted 2 actually had some gameplay in there this time. So, revolutionary for Sony.

I wonder what this generation of games will offer. Uncharted 2 changed everything. It is on the PS3 after all.

Batman AA was a great game. I know my younger brother loved it. I didnt play it but just watching was amazing with all the fighting moves, and the gadgets.

Batman Arkham Asylum doesn't get enough credit in my book. It really has done for videogames what Batman Begins did for movies. And that's show that a superhero doesn't have to be bright, colorful, and repetitively silly.
