2K Sports Has Already Approached NFL About 2K13 Licensing Deal

It looks like everything we had been hearing over the last year and half has turned out to be true as word is now coming out that Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Sports, has approached the NFL about a licensing deal for the 2013 NFL season. It was rumored last month that the NFLPA, the official association representing players of the National Football League, were already in preliminary talks.

While nothing solid has been worked out, all the pieces are falling into place. Take-Two has sold of several major assets - including their mega-distributor JOAG in Cincinnati, Ohio in order to raise capital. We'll keep you updated as the details emerge.

That would be awesome news! 2K was always the best football game and I stopped playing bc Madden is GARBAGE! 2K is waaaaaaaay more realistic. Here's hoping this happens!

OMG I've been waiting for this, I can't believe it's actually happening! The only problem is 2k sports has to start off with what they finished with in NFL 2k5 and might have a lot of catching up to do.

OMFG!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!! To this day, I still play NFL2K5 and without any biase whatsoever, it IS STILL THE BEST NFL GAME ever! I have bought one Madden game since EA took Licensing and that game is crap I tell ya. Sick and tired of basically the same old game every year. Believe it or not, NFL2K5 still looks better than any Madden game to date!!! Look for yourself! Even All Pro Football 2K8 is better! LOL! I can't wait til this comes out!! Quality gameplay, graphics, content, and presentation is guaranteed! Madden Fanboys please don't be mad, it's only because you're a Fanboy. Go Team Take-Two Interactive!! Rise up with the Best NFL Football Game ever to hit the market since NFL2K5!!

Hey Ogden, I wouldn't be too worried about it. They know where they left off, you gotta know that 2K has been watching Madden over the years. I trust that they already know what to do. Real/Sim football returns! YESS!

Now all 2k needs to do is partner with Natural Motion so we can get some euphoria up in here!!!!!! Either way 2k makes a way better football game than madden.

Terry, go find a copy of NFL2k5 on either PS2 or Xbox and it still holds up today....best NFL game ever

As long as they give me a pc title I would be so freakiing happy, I would be happy with a fake NFL pc game as long as they make it as mod able as possible because they know they cant us nfl players but the community could make a NFL mod to a fantasy football game as long as its better then madden 08 that is lol.
