Slimming pills, the answer to a dieters prayer.
Well, not really. It is quite unscrupulous the way slimming pills are marketed over the Internet today. The manufacturers would have us believe that as soon as we pop the pill, it will work its magic and start devouring our excess fat, leaving us a slim and slender specimen. Within two weeks we will have reached our goal weight and will undoubtedly stay this shape forever more. In our dreams!
First of all, there are no pills on this earth that can just be taken and be expected to leave you in the shape of the model on the bottle.
This is of course what the makers want you to believe by posting photo’s of ‘before and after’ pictures of svelte bodies that take your breath away. The declarations the advertisers make say it is ‘as easy as falling off a log to lose weight if only you take our miracle pills’.
If you look past the onslaught of sales patter that goes on in trying to sell you the latest technical and clinical breakthrough in weight control, you will find the real reason why these pills tend to work on some people and simply fail for others.
Get to the bottom of the sales page and you will read words to the effect of “Only possible with a well balanced diet and healthy exercise program”
Many potential buyers are so desperate to lose weight and so taken in by the claims of ‘life changing’ attributes these little diamonds brings, they click the Buy Now button without a second thought. Then when they’ve tried out their amazing pill for a few weeks and not noticed any weight loss, in fact they may have gained a pound or two, they complain.
They wonder how can these companies get away with selling a product that just doesn’t work; surely it’s against the law? What they didn’t do is read the small print at the bottom of the exploding sales page.
It’s a hard lesson to learn.
Many people feel duped by such promises of a company and product that promised them they would be fat free if only they took the supplement.
They feel let down by the advertising agencies that allow this kind of weight loss propaganda that continues throughout the Internet and on Television. They feel a loss of trust, and feel a little stupid that they fell for such a ruse.
Manufacturers fault
Is it the manufacturers fault for not placing the requirements to lose weight at the top of the sales page in big bold letters that no weight loss will happen if you do not eat healthily or exercise regularly? No, because they would not sell a quarter of the products if they did.
Or is the consumers fault for not reading the whole sales page and not taking in the need for a balanced diet and exercise that are paramount in losing weight? No, because they are in an emotional situation and want to believe what they see in bright shiny words that could end the spell of their Obesity.
So, what should happen to strike equilibrium? I know what should happen, but it will never come to fruition because at the end of the day money makes the world go round and manufacturers and advertisers love money.
In a perfect world, the sales page would at first educate people who need to lose weight on how to do it and why they need to do it. Then they can move onto the benefits that supplements can bring to a weight loss program. The supplements are what they say they are…supplements, an aid, and an added benefit to a healthy routine already in place by the user.
Everyone knows whether they are overweight, slim or skinny that the real and only way to lose weight is to eat healthily and exercise. The use of supplements will help you in this process by either using an Appetite Suppressant, Fat Binder, Fat Burner, Carbohydrate Blocker or whatever but it must be underlined and in Bold that you need to work with them, they will not work on their own.
When a person realises this, they will either give up altogether or stay the way they are, (or worse) or, they will have their mindset changed and realise the work involved in getting into shape is not going to be easy.
You need willpower to lose weight
It will take willpower, exercise, changed eating habits, portion control and an iron will to get through it. This is how Manufacturers should be pushing their supplements, as an aid to an already changed mindset of the user.
Exercise is easy, eating healthily is easy, but changing your mindset is difficult. The problem lies in the instant gratification of weight loss, we all want that, but we all know if we lost weight that quickly there is something dramatically wrong with our bodies; so why do we crave it?
A well known Carbohydrate diet that sold in its millions worked because of the rapid weight loss experienced by the dieters. People were losing 10, 12 pounds a week, 30, 35 pounds a month, but when they quit most either put the weight back on, or even worse gained more over time. You cannot stay on this kind of diet forever, and when you quit, the weight comes back with vengeance.
In summary, we all know the answer to how to lose weight, but a lot of us don’t or won’t take on board there is hard work and dedication involved in finding your perfect weight and shape. Supplements are there to help us along the way by boosting our metabolism and cutting our cravings, they are not there to be used and abused by expecting them to work by sitting of the sofa all day and eating burgers.
A slimmer needs to first change their mindset, eat healthily and exercise and, if needed, use of a supplement does give us a helping hand. Start by walking a mile or two at a faster pace than usual, build up the distance every week, and take an hour out of your day to do this.
When you reach a level where it’s not hard work anymore, move onto another form of exercise, go hiking, take up jogging or join a gym. This will happen overtime and if you keep up this level of commitment you will feel healthier, fitter and happier about almost everything you felt before your mindset was changed.
You will notice your motivation has risen, your mind has become clearer and your outlook has changed to the positive things in life and negativity has almost disappeared.
So please, if you need to lose weight and you think a slimming pill will help, read the whole of the sales page first before deciding on a purchase.
